How I Became a Speaker.
In 1983, I stepped to the front of my public speaking class at the University of New Hampshire. I shared a story about getting fired from my summer job as a doorman at an exclusive condominium complex. And there was no looking back. Since that day, I have been engaging with audiences across the country with my original perspectives on storytelling, leadership and memorability. Today, I am proud to be an award-winning Moth Storyteller and sought-after keynote speaker–trusted by countless brands to help inspire their teams to connect and communicate. I have been stepping in front of audiences for decades. From award-winning Creative Director and pioneering entrepreneur, to the Founder and Chief Storyteller at Kipling Road, I have worked with hundreds of businesses to help them sharpen how they view themselves and how they share their stories with the world. I fought for stage time as the middle of seven kids and as the son and nephew of a long line of self-proclaimed Irish storytelling masters.
